SPARX International works alongside of organizations and executive leadership, acting as their strategic guide; helping them navigate from the places they are to the destinations they aspire to reach.
Culture is defined as a recognized set of principles, beliefs, shared attitudes, values, goals and practices that characterize a group, population, tribe, organization, community or company. It’s your people and how they act inside your organization.
An organizational culture exists primarily to support the vision of the organization. In a perfect world, as the vision grows and expands, so does the culture. When a culture is vibrant and engaged, it can navigate the ongoing business demands and growth goals; while still supporting the organizations’ vision.
The connection that an employee feels to an organization’s culture, is reflected by their willingness to go above their job description and work harder, longer, and more creatively. Overlooking cultural importance, particularly in rapidly changing environments like in mergers and acquisitions, can diminish or collapse a company’s growth plans.
Growth naturally creates new interactions and processes, expected and unexpected, and often fast-paced. People are required to take initiative beyond the confines of their jobs, to cooperate with and build cross-functional teams across the organization, and to complete many concurrent tasks. And yet, most senior managers underestimate the importance of organizational culture in translating growth strategy into reality.
MEET THE CEO
I'm Dorothy Patrick, CEO of SPARX International.
I have always been compelled by an intrinsic desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people I serve. It has not been an easy journey and I didn’t always intellectually know what this meant, but it drove me inside and it is what has made me successful.
Like many, my personal calling didn’t just happen all at once. Mine has been an experience; a slow winding path illuminated by bright lights along the way - those of the impactful leaders and coaches that mentored me throughout my professional career, who selflessly allowed me to borrow their experience while I honed my own.
With over 20+ years in executive leadership roles, I have come to believe that the true meaning of success is to find our own unique gift and then our purpose becomes giving it away. We succeed when we develop our own talents and then make it our purpose to connect them meet to the needs of others.
SPARX International was born of my passion for being that bright light for others; helping to illuminate their way forward. I am a champion of my client’s success, helping them to do remarkable things and lead with intentional purpose. For me, there's no higher level of success than to help others realize their significance and potential.
